How does audience targeting work?
When the user visits a website which is a part of the data aggregator’s eco system, they store a cookie on the users’ computer. This cookie “remembers” the visits of the user on different websites and uses that information to place the user on different audience segments. For example, let’s say you are interested in buying a new pair of running shoes. When you enter various sites in our network looking for running shoes we remember your preferences and use them to place you in an audience segment which will determine the type of ads served to you. As you surf other, unrelated websites, we target you with ads based on your interests and intentions.
